TERMS OF SERVICE - Romania-Insider.com membership subscriptions

These terms of service, for the Romania-Insider.com membership subscriptions, apply to the provision of digital services to you by Romania-Insider.com, and respectively to your purchase and use of the services. When purchasing a membership subscription on Romania-Insider.com you agree with the general Terms & Conditions for using our website, and our terms for processing your personal data - Privacy and Cookie Policy.
The services are provided by Business Insider SRL, the owner of www.Romania-Insider.com, based in Bucharest, District 1, 8 Puskin Alexandru Sergheevici St., registered at the Trade Registry with the number J40/6901/2011, C.I.F. RO28588173, community[at]romania-insider[dot]com, +40 (0)722 206 413, further referred to as “Us”, “We”, “Romania-Insider.com”, “Business Insider SRL”.
SERVICES
The services provided by Romania-Insider.com through its membership program consist of a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access the content we provide by purchasing a subscription and logging in to the website. Additional benefits such as premium content newsletters, total or partial banner ads free experience, discounts to our advertising products and services or invites to events organised by us may be included in the subscriptions benefits, as detailed on the presentation page on the website, for each type of membership and in the subscription confirmation email sent to you after placing the order.
The licence may be accessed from any Internet browser (for ex. Chrome, Safari, Mozzila, etc.), from a desktop or mobile device, by logging in with the email address and password used when registering for the subscription.
The services are provided for the duration of the term chosen by you when subscribing to our service (regularly these are: monthly, yearly or bianually). The subscriptions shall autorenew automatically for the same period after the initial term until cancelled.
If included in your subscription, the premium newsletters are sent daily (Monday to Friday), weekly (on Friday) and/or monthly, with the exception of Romanian legal holidays and internal editorial holidays: 5 consecutive working days during July-August and 10 consecutive working days during December-January.
Only one person may use the subscription associated with an account.
Romania-Insider.com will process your order as soon as possible and you should have access to the services immediately as the registration and payment of your subscription is finalized. The only delays in the activation of the services might occur while payment details are verified and the payment processed. For renewals, if your payment method fails to be charged, your access to our content will be disabled until a valid payment method is provided.
Romania-Insider.com reserves the right to modify the content, type and availability of any digital service at any time.
To the extent possible, we commit to keeping at least the same price and benefits you had when purchasing a subscription to our services. Provided that this is not possible, we will notify you in advance, having the possibility to accept the new price, cancel and refund the remainder of your subscription or purchase from that point forward.

Any question, inquiry or complaint regarding the services should be addressed to community@romania-insider.com via email. We undertake to offer our utmost support and availability in answering any questions and solving any complaints regarding our services.
Any disagreement or dispute that may arise regarding the Digital services provided will be solved amiably by direct negotiations or through conventional representatives. If these negotiations fail to solve the disagreement, the issue may be submitted to the competent legal institutions of Bucharest.
PRICE AND PAYMENT METHOD
The standard net price for the services is the one established by Romania-Insider.com and published on the website. All prices are in EURO, including the applicable tax (Value added tax, applicable for residents in the EU states), unless otherwise stated.
We accept payments by card via Stripe payment processor. If you want to pay via bank transfer or other payment method, contact us at community[at]romania-insider[dot]com and we will get in touch with you with details for activating your subscription.
Discounts and promotions eligibility are determined at the time of the order. Discounts and promotions cannot be applied retroactively.
When a trial price or a free trial is applied for a specific term period, subsequent renewals will be made at the full price presented to you on the website and at check out.
REFUND POLICY
You can request a refund for your payment in 14 days from the start of your subscription or from the start of your subsequent renewals, by contacting us at community[at]romania-insider[dot]com.

We commit to maintaining the security of your data and to ensure that appropriate measures are taken against unlawful or unauthorized processing of personal data, against the accidental loss of, or damage to, personal data, by putting in place the appropriate hardware and software security measures and enforcing the appropriate procedures to maintain the security of all personal data from the point of collection to the point of deletion, including keeping your information confidential by allowing only the authorized people to access the personal data provided.
When purchasing a membership subscription we collect the information provided by you by creating an account and/or purchasing a membership plan or by filling in a contact form on our website, for the purpose of entering into a contract with you and delivering the services or answering the requests submitted. We also use the information provided to ensure the functionalities of the services - such as loggin it to our website, delivering the premium newsletters included in your membership - via Mailchimp, for customer administration and to communicate with you in matters related to your subscription and account on our website, accounting and invoicing, ensuring payment security and risk assessment - via Stripe, our payment provider. This personal data includes full name (first name and last name), e-mail address, IP address, phone number, postal address and billing information such as: card type, credit/debit card number, expiration date, and cardholder name.
We use Pigeon (Sabramedia, LLC) as our membership managing software and paywall provider. Pigeon acts as a subprocessor, and collects and processes the personal data from you on behalf of us. Pigeon uses cookies on our website to provide the necessary identification of a user - if the user has a subscription or account on our website, or not, the type of access to our website, whether a user is logged in or not, to analyse our traffic data, conversions and how our users interact with our website. YOUR RIGHTS IN RELATION TO YOUR PERSONAL DATA
- The right to be informed – it’s in your rights to know, even from the point of collection, what data is collected, how will your data be used, to whom will your data be transferred or divulged and your rights regarding your personal data.
- The right to access the personal data collected about you – you have the right to know if your personal data is being processed and to get access to the data collected.
- The right to rectification of inaccurate personal data – you have the right to change or add to it if your personal data processed is inaccurate or out-of-date.

- The right not to be subject to a decision based solely on automated processing, including profiling, which produces legal effects concerning you or similarly significantly affects you, except if it is necessary for enforcing a contract between you and us, it is authorised by the European Union or the state law and which also lays down suitable measures to safeguard your or it is based on your explicit consent.

We will respond to your request within 28 days and we can extend this term for specific reasons, related to the complexity of your request. In all cases, if this period is extended, we will inform you about the extension period and the reasons that led to it.
If we cannot give you access to your data, either for legal reasons or because the identifiers provided by you are not sufficient, we will inform you in due time, having the possibility to offer additional information, or, if the case informing you on the reasons for the refusal.
