Protest rallies are expected in Bucharest today, with around 20,000 set to take part. The Free Trade Unions will stage the street protests together with the unionists confederations.

Most of those expected to join the protest are public servants dissatisfied with the recent 25 percent salary cuts.

The protest will be staged between noon and 14:00 hours in the George Enescu Square and continue in the Victoriei Square between 15:00 hours and 18:00 hours.
